A dream I had of you

The waves lashed the rocks, bringing along cool breezes of moist air. Sun felt like a dim circle circle of light hidden behind a screen of clouds. I was almost lost in all this amazing phenomena when I looked at my left and forgot about my existence, forgot everything I had been beholding just moments ago.

What made me forget everything were your eyes, I felt like I had found a whole new world, a world where I could live my whole life in just one moment, a world where I would like to stay in forever and even after forever.

I saw a slight movement of your lips, like you wanted to say something, to say all the words that were once left unsaid. You then changed your mind and looked away at the waves which seemed quite furious at the rocks. We kept staring at the water until Sun started sinking into the West.

I felt your hand on my hand and you looked into my eyes but this time I couldn't reach the depth of the infinity in your eyes which were now guarded by shields of tears. I felt a sudden rush inside my soul to do whatever it takes to stop those tears and to never let them reach your eyes again.

I asked,'What's making you so sad?'

You kept looking into my eyes and then said,'The time has come when we go back to the world where we are still unknown to each other.'

Just the moment you said that, everything started to turn dark, everything disappeared and I woke up to find out that it actually was me who had tears in his eyes and.. It was just another dream I had of you !

A Mystery !

Some say its life, while others say its waste of time.
Some say its the basis for human existence, while others say it doesn't even exist.
Its got a history of its own. Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet set a fundamental example for it and its strings have now been stretched to unlimited stories.
Everyone talks about it but still doubts its existence.
Every song, every movie, every book features a bit of it and most of the times is based on it.

Somehow we're all influenced by its examples at some part of our lives. Movies like 'A walk to remember' touch the very core of our pure emotions. Books like 'Twilight' take us to a whole new level where normality can't reach. Yet we don't believe in its significance.

Some spend their whole lives trying to decipher its complexity while for some its just a matter of a single moment to understand it in its entirety.

What actually is it? It was, is and will remain a mystery.

Texting Fever..

It felt like magic just a decade ago. How you could save yourself from a buck-blasting call just by sending a simple text message. Texting was the in-thing but not that much common. No one had thought about the consequences of this magical service. The situation was all normal when there were huge constraints of monopolized service charges which were keeping the text flood under control.

But as the saying goes, 'Time and tide wait for none'.. Wait ! Was that even a saying?

Whatever ! Time moved on anyway and competitor telecom companies started moving in. With the advent of these new competitors the monopolized situation changed into a fierce competition. The service charges went down and let the text flood loose.

Its been years since that text flood was unleashed upon us and it shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon.

Well, Texting is quite useful at times:

Missing a friend? Your hand autonomously reaches your cell and types 'Hey ! What's up?'

Not sure about tomorrow's class schedule? Your cell is the solution.

Its some friend's birthday? The autonomous process starts again.

There are a hundred more reasons to send a text but you get so damn irritated when you receive unsolicited texts with unrealistic information and as a cherry on the top they contain threats as well, in case you show a bit of sluggishness in forwarding those stupid texts to at least 15 or 20 people.

Then comes the turn of those 'Good Morning' texts which don't seem to stop even when the morning turns into a full fledged day.

The day moves on and then come those 'supposed-to-be-funny' texts specially those torturing the soul of 'Faraz'.

Oh! I just saw my cell's LCD flash. Seems like its one of those 'Good Night' texts. Cheers !

How to enhance your Movie-Watching experience !

Watching movies is one of the best ways to utilize leisure time. In particular those movies which are thought provoking and a treat to your visual senses. The best way to enjoy movies is to realize the actual purpose behind their creation --- that is to have a good time. Movies can be a real treat when someone stops being judgmental and turns the 'fun mode' on.

Its true, some movies can get really really painful and its just impossible to tolerate such movies for more than a couple of minutes. Some movies just don't make any sense and they're straightly directed toward the audience of quite a similar kind --- which don't make any sense.

My theory regarding a good movie is somewhat like this:
  • Movies which ultimately leave you in a satisfying mood.
  • Movies which touch your emotions and you start caring for the characters.
  • Movies which are evaluated by your own senses as 'GOOD'.
If this criteria is met, why ever listen to those stupid critics then. The only job those stupid critics can do is to spoil your movie watching experience. Thank God I never followed those mentally retarded people, otherwise right now I too would be one of those cognitively lost and pessimist guys who have unfortunately lost their ability to see the bright side. All they can do is criticizing, criticizing and criticizing.

The fact that nothing on Earth is perfect or flawless can never be denied, it all depends upon how you evaluate it. You can even mess your own life up just by pointing out all the negative aspects of it, it all depends upon how you look at it. Just these two factors, perception and attitude, can lead you to happiness only if you have the ability to use them for your own good.

Well, lets get back to movies. Now if a simple movie guy watches a scene from an average movie which just makes him feel good, he will be satisfied with it.And at the same time, if a psycho critic (who's favorite hobby is to take out flaws from the darkest of the depths) watches the same scene, all he will do is he'll ignore the emotions emanating from the screen and drive his thoughts toward all the retarded flaws which are naturally prone to be there in everything.

Now my theory for enjoying movies:
  • Ignore stupid critics who will completely spoil the movie for you and beware ! They'll drive your thoughts to the 'restricted' area.
  • Appreciate a movie if it makes you feel good.
  • Watch it, enjoy it, have a good time and ultimately forget it if you want to. Don't be a super-hero who's on a mission to make this world a place for flawless movies.
Hope you have a great time watching your favorite movies. Cheers !

Music is my lifeline

Could that story about 'The Pied Piper' luring all the rats out of the city on the tune of his pipe ever be true?

Well, I think yes.

Music can be so magical, a person only realizes it when he feels it. Its not like it takes you on a whole new magical journey, but it does bring a slight variation in your mood which might sometimes go unnoticed. It can make you happy when you're sad or it can open the doors of grief while you're in a perfectly normal mood. It can even scare you sometimes.

As soon as those sound waves touch your ears, a frenzy begins. It all depends upon how you let the music take control of your emotions. If you resist it, you'll never be able to observe its enchantment.

New genres of music have been popping up every other day, which is quite exciting. Exploring new music has no limits, there are unlimited artists from different corners of world who have been creating some awesome music everyday.

'What sort of music do I like?' is quite a difficult question, which might require an exhaustively comprehensive answer.

Lets put it this way, the music I like is spread over a HUGE range.

Like, I like music from 'Yesterday by The Beatles' to 'Tik tok by Kesha'.

Or, I like music from 'Speed of sound by Coldplay' to '7 things by Miley Cyrus' (Wait ! Miley Cyrus ! I know I need to see a shrink.)

I don't follow any specific era or genre of music, may be cause I haven't restricted my mind yet. If a tune makes me feel good, that's enough justification for it to be on my playlist. I never force myself to get stuck in just one era. And those who are stuck, seem to be buried deep down beneath the foundation of a glitzy and full-of-life buiding. C'mon, explore it people !

There are some songs which I hold on to for years (like 'I'm with you by Avril Lavigne') and there are some songs which I go gaga for, but that's just for a couple of days (mostly Indian songs).

Music indeed is my life line or its my last resort. Whenever I want to be lonely in a crowded room, all I do is I get those earphones fixed in my ears and turn the full volume on. So music is also a savior, as it saves me from unwanted socializing.

Well, there is music which renders no one unaffected (almost), like 'Hey there Delilah by Plain While T's'. I was so inspired that I once tried to record that song in my voice, and ultimate result was a disaster.

Whatever the consequences, my love for music will never get hampered.

Have fun listening to your favorite music. Cheers !

After Forever

Clouds were very dimly lit, as they absorbed the soothing silver light being bestowed by Moon which has hiding somewhere in the background. I stood there, trying to make sense of different things hidden in the dark. Things I couldn't see and things I could see even if I had my eyes closed.

The darkness was opening up the wounds, bringing out the pain so excruciating, it was ripping me into pieces. Darkness was like a bright Sun over my memories. The loudness of silence was intense and intolerable.

That was the time when I needed you the most, needed you like air, like a desperately thirsty wanderer needs water. But I knew you had gone, never to come back again. How much I wished that I had apologized and called you back in my life, how much I hated myself for letting you go. The pain intensified on the thought that you were never coming back.

There was nothing left in my life, whatever I had wished for throughout my life had gone for good. My only reason for existence had gone, there was no way I was gonna live through this pain. That was the end of me and with me, of all those mistakes, questions, justifications, fights, everything we ever did, all the time we ever spent together and all the dreams which never came true.

This could have been a dream but this time I had so many facts like scattered puzzles which evidenced the reality. Facts which were so inflictive, they rendered me almost numb. But there was no way I could force myself out of this tormenting reality, I had to endure this.

I had lost my focus on what I was doing, I could see but couldn't make sense of anything. Then something caught my attention. There was something in the dark shining like diamonds, I didn't know what that could be but after putting some more effort I could see that those were someone's eyes mirroring my expressions. Those eyes seemed to be as tormented as I was. The shape started to move closer and I was astonished at first. I had never thought that this could be possible, I had never thought in my wildest dreams that I'd ever be able to see 'YOU' again.

You stood there, waiting for my response but what could I do as a response, I was stunned. I somehow managed to get control of my feet and moved towards you. I could clearly see that you had been in a situation no different than mine. I couldn't realize what I actually felt at that time, it was all a shuffle of emotions emanating from my insides.

We sat on a flat rock and there was nothing to talk. Our eyes had exchanged a million expressions in a moment. I promised to never let you go again. While we sat there, clouds started bestowing light drizzles which eventually turned into a heavy shower.

The clouds seemed to be having their turn to tell their sorrows. And we sat there till the first ray of light emanated from East but still, it all felt like a moment. A lifetime seemed too less now.

All I knew now was you were with me and we'll be together forever and after forever !

To Dream Or Not To Dream

The only thing which has no restrictions on it, which is completely free and you don't need to reach a certain age limit to have it, Dreams !

No one can stop you from dreaming and interestingly no one can force you to do so either. Dreams have been the reason behind marvelous inventions and discoveries and at the same time, they've served as a point of inception for huge destruction. Its a very interesting fact, a person's perception depends upon his ability to dream. If he dreams big, he is definitely an optimist. And if he's scared of his dreams being shattered, he's a pessimist.

'Dreams Do Come True', only if a person has that required level of zeal, enthusiasm and sincerity to make it come true. Nothing can throw hurdles on his way to success then. Nature designs his way and no other force is great enough to hamper the force of nature. There is no way he'll be unsuccessful then.

The intensity of dreaming depends upon a person's creativity and perception. If one has an impression that something is impossible to be done, it really would be impossible but only for 'HIM'. But if someone is determined to do the impossible, nothing can stop him then. Of course criticism might hamper his determination initially but this criticism can make his sincerity toward his goal even stronger. Such is the magic of constructive criticism.

Surprisingly this dream-big thing has been working quite fine for me. So go ahead and start dreaming !

Oh yes, you can even go and steal the moon (Despicable Me). Its all about dreaming big. Cheers !

There was a time..

There was a time when everything felt like a source of smile...

There was a time when the slightest of humor made you laugh like crazy..

There was a time when nothing could penetrate the walls of your emotional stability..

There was a time when could laugh, sing and scream without any limitations..

There was a time when even the most depressing stuff could be let go without a second thought..

The only thing bad about that time was it's temporariness.. Why couldn't it stay for a bit longer!

And now there's time when everything feels to be caving in upon you..

Now there's time when your existence is given the least of attention..

Now there's time when you crave for freedom..

But the only good thing about this time is it's temporariness.. this too will go!

Justice and Revenge

The law and order situation in Karachi is completely out of control.March 15th, 2011 and around 36 people have died in just four days. The promises of State to provide protection and justice are like pie crust, made to be broken. There is no sign of remedy anywhere in this anarchy. The citizens of Karachi have finally crossed the thin line that has long separated revenge from justice. This sort of news is not new but will always remind us of our savagery when it happens. There is a long list of dacoits who were tortured, burned and even killed by the people of Karachi. These sorts of incidents are being encouraged and it is being argued that this will prove to be deterrence against all the outlaws and criminals.

People will gather and start beating the mugger or dacoit ruthlessly and mercilessly. Instead of handing him over to the authorities, disappointed with the ineffective and inefficient justice system, the citizens will take the matter in their own hands and kill him. They can torture him or burn him alive. The justification may seem acceptable in face of weak government and justice system. But let us not forget the tragic event of Sialkot (a city of Punjab) when two innocent children, tied with blood relation to each other, were killed by a crazy mob. There was no justification of such a barbaric behavior but it was justified then. The justification is of no importance, may it be a dacoits or innocent brothers, when savagery is dictating all the rules of the game.

We are no longer a civilized nation. The words like law and justice means nothing to us. We will do anything and are ready to cross any limits. We will kill in the name of religion, blasphemy, target-killing, political gang wars and the virus of arms will continue to be injected in our youths. We have guns, rifles, pistols of every kind and every sort. We have reasons, though not justifiable, to kill and die. There is no cause and no purpose behind our sacrifice. We have reduced the value of life; let it be ours or anyone else.

Karachi: The city that burnt

28th December, the city of lights lost its heritage as the oldest and the most revenue generating business hub costing billions of Rupees and priceless family traditions caught ablaze by those who are knowingly unknown. Such occult practices burnt clusters of business communities to ashes. People lost assets worth millions and there is no justification for the quantifiable loss they have to suffer.

Regardless of the material loss, people had invested their entire life building those shops and generations passed carrying out their businesses and making key relations with suppliers and customers. Who would have thought that there will be no chai-wala to offer them morning tea and customers falling in as they sip the ever refreshing dhoodpati. All is lost in dark with no hope to guide them to light.

On this date what we see is a crumbling Pakistan and the situation worsening, weakening and diminishing our hopes of a glorious Pakistan. I may call myself and thousand others like me conspiracy theorists that would put this blame on any of the three entities; the Pakistani Government itself, Taliban or America for that reason.

For those who pick our dynamic Government would certainly believe it to be a strategy to revamp Karachi by demolishing structures that stood for over 100 years built during the British Raj in order to build sky scrapers and a new Lego- world of concrete. Another school of thought would claim this to be a well sought out plan by the opposition parties to destabilize the current government.

For those who believe in what is told to them would certainly consider this an act of ridicule by our poor overrated world enemies, Taliban and Al-Qaeda. It amuses me how the words “Taliban” and “Al-Qaeda” are officially entered in Microsoft Word’s dictionary. Anyhow, for those who are always anti America would go on to say that this is all done by the invisible hands that virtually run and dictate our country. And some who really think a lot would even go beyond by saying that India and America ventured a covert operation to destroy and eventually invade Pakistan to get control over China.

Whatever the case may be, it is evident that Pakistanis are consistently going to struggle and suffer unanimously while we all wait for a Superman to rescue us. The problem lies in everyone one of us. We are the solution. We all want the mess to be cleaned up without getting our hands dirty.

Our parents don’t want us to join politics, we don’t choose to join army nor do we engage ourselves in any socially/ politically motivated events like rallies and protests. On the contrary, we break signals, we bribe the policemen and say “they are corrupt” and we don’t question authority. If we don’t obey the basic laws, we don’t really have a right to ask questions. The best example I could give you is of France. Now the French Government is the kind of Government that one could only dream of. They take responsibility for everything; from Healthcare to Education, they would even send a back-up mom to wipe your baby’s poop. Now that’s a Utopia we are talking here. Who would go against such an extremely beautiful Government? Recently French students in Paris and Lyon took over the city and the Police for disrupting their reforms regarding the curriculum (http://www.javno.com/en-world/thousands-protest-against-school-reforms-in-france_216314). This is the passion to fight for their right.

I have nothing much to say about the youth. I feel you would be disappointed. I remember visiting a party lately where there was this really interesting conversation going on about Islam and what Muslims are supposed to do and how there is no compensation and forgiveness when it comes to prayers. I was disgusted by that entire half drunk crowd who was a part of this conversation and the pious gentleman holding a bottle of Blue Label initiating that conversation. You drink and take the name of thy Lord. I mean where are the priorities set? Well the party was fun, had a great time mocking.

In a nutshell, demographically, the old aged have lost their hope in Pakistan, the middle wants their kids to run away from here and the youth is facing a severe identity crises. It is unwise to be extremely optimistic about Pakistan; it would in fact disguise all the discrepancies and incompetencies that prevail in a puppetized democracy. Nonetheless, one shouldn’t be a pessimist either. What we should be looking for are thought provoking realists’ ideologies, one that promote free will and opportunity to rise no matter where you come from.

Learn to draw a cartoon Dog

1. First Imagine in your mind that what kind of dog you wish to draw.. Puppy Dogs? Dogs with bone?  In this tutorial I will demonstrate how to draw a cute dog..

2. Step two: draw a circle using a pencil. No need to use the term, 'it was just practice.

3. Step three: Draw a vertical and horizontal lines as shown. You will determine the direction where the dog is facing. In this picture the dog is facing to the left.

4. Step four: Create a small circle again.

5. Step Five: Make 2 small dots next to the circle again that earlier.

6. Step six: Create a sphere as the nose and give two small dots as eyes.

7. Step seven: Fix some details. Fill color of the nose, form the dog's mouth.

8. Step eight: After the picture was beginning to look his sketches continue to draw detailed outline, and ear hairs. The eyes are rounded out.

9. Step nine: Once the sketch so, can you make bold outline with a marker or pen drawing. Try a waterproof. To use a simple drawing a thick outline above 0.5. This step is also called tracing.

10. Step Ten: Remove scratches pencil used to draw sketches. How? Already satisfied are you? If not satisfied, we go to the next step.

11. Step eleventh; Image was scanned and then in color with a computer. My advice, paint the base color first. Software that is used in this case is Adobe Photoshop.

12. Step Twelve: After determining the direction of light, you can create shading. In this picture the light comes from above.

  13. Thirteenth Step; [oops ... ya unlucky number, so do not shit I make one step back later]. Clean lines are still dirty earlier.

14. Fourteenth Step: Bring images you create with the background. For convenience, place the background on the layer below the dog pictures with Photoshop. Done

For me art is without rules. Any way *) is not a problem. The important thing is keep practicing and experimenting. Good luck

Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden dead - Obama

Osama Bin Laden

Bin Laden was top of the US "most wanted" list
Al-Qaeda founder and leader Osama Bin Laden has been killed by US forces in Pakistan, President Obama has said.
The al-Qaeda leader was killed in a ground operation outside Islamabad based on US intelligence, the first lead for which emerged last August.Mr Obama said after "a firefight", US forces took possession of his body.Bin Laden was accused of being behind a number of atrocities, including the attacks on New York and Washington on 11 September 2001.He was top of the US "most wanted" list.

Mr Obama said it was "the most significant achievement to date in our nation's effort to defeat al-Qaeda".
The US has put its embassies around the world on alert, warning Americans of the possibility of al-Qaeda reprisal attacks for Bin Laden's killing.Crowds gathered outside the White House in Washington DC, chanting "USA, USA" after the news emerged.

AT THE SCENE

Last night there were rumours an operation was going on in an area close to Abbottabad. There were unconfirmed reports of a military helicopter crashing in the area as well.

Witnesses said the whole area was cordoned off and nobody was allowed close although they did hear gunshots and firearms. But nobody had any inkling that this was an operation to get Osama bin Laden.
For those who keep a close on eye on these matters it wasn't a total shock that he was ultimately hunted down in an urban area.

In the past we have had reports of him being treated in hospitals in Rawalpindi for kidney problems. There was even one report that he was treated in the southern city of Karachi. All of these were officially denied.
And some of the big al-Qaeda and Taliban names in the past have been captured in big Pakistani cities. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Kuwaiti-born senior al Qaeda leader was captured in Rawalpindi, Pakistan and Afghan Taliban military commander Mullah Baradar was reportedly captured in Karachi.

Lead last August

Bin Laden approved the 9/11 attacks in which nearly 3,000 people died, saying later that the results had exceeded his expectations. He evaded the forces of the US and its allies for almost a decade, despite a $25m bounty on his head. His death will be seen as a major blow to al-Qaeda but also raise fears of reprisal attacks, correspondents say.

Mr Obama said he had been briefed last August on a possible lead to Bin Laden's whereabouts."It was far from certain, and it took many months to run this thread to ground," Mr Obama said."I met repeatedly with my national security team as we developed more information about the possibility that we had located Bin Laden hiding within a compound deep inside of Pakistan.

"And finally, last week, I determined that we had enough intelligence to take action, and authorised an operation to get Osama Bin Laden and bring him to justice," the president said.On Sunday a small team of US forces undertook the operation in Abbottabad, north of Islamabad. After a "firefight" Bin Laden was killed and his body taken by US forces, the president said.

Momentous achievement

Former US President Bill Clinton said in a statement: "This is a profoundly important moment not just for the families of those who lost their lives on 9/11 and in al-Qaeda's other attacks but for people all over the world who want to build a common future of peace, freedom, and cooperation for our children."

Map
Mr Clinton's successor, President George W Bush, described the news as a "momentous achievement".
"The fight against terror goes on, but tonight America has sent an unmistakable message: No matter how long it takes, justice will be done," Mr Bush said in a statement.

BBC Security correspondent Frank Gardner says that to many in the West, Bin Laden became the embodiment of global terrorism, but to others he was a hero, a devout Muslim who fought two world superpowers in the name of jihad.

The son of a wealthy Saudi construction family, Bin Laden grew up in a privileged world. But soon after the Soviets invaded Afghanistan he joined the Mujahideen there and fought alongside them with his Arab followers, a group that later formed the nucleus for al-Qaeda.

After declaring war on America in 1998, Bin Laden is widely believed to have been behind the bombings of US embassies in East Africa, a billion-dollar US warship, and the attacks on New York and Washington.
