Eid Mubarak To Everyone

Festival of Breaking of the Fast is popularly known as Eid al-Fitr, this marks the end of Ramadan which is the month of fasting. This is the festival of rejoicing and feasting. The derivation of the word Fitr comes from the word ‘Fatar’ which means breaking.

Eid Mubarak
On this day there is a preparation of special delicacies and foods and distribution is done to friends and neighbors. On this auspicious day all gather to the mosques for prayers meeting their relatives and friends.
Like all festivals have a particular day when it comes but in case of Ramadan it’s not the case, it comes in the 9th month of the Islamic year. This period is of increased self examination and religious devotion. The whole month fasting is done to understand the hunger and being thankful to the God for being the amongst the one who gets proper food, fasting as a habit is also good to give break to our digestion system for our rigid habits.
This is very important day for Muslims on this day they break their fast of one month they are in their best new clothes.

Eid al-Fitr Food
Here is a special Eid prayer which is performed in congregation. In the prayer there are two rak’at which is then followed by Khutba or sermon. Though this prayer is not compulsory then too most of them take out time from their busy schedule and take part in the prayers. Before starting off with their prayer they recite the glorification as follows ALLAHU AKBARULLAHU AKBARULLAHU AKBAR, LA ILLAHA ILLA; ALLAH, ALLAHU AKBARULLAHU AKBAR, WA LILLAH HILHAMD.

After offering prayers they visit each other with gifts which are mostly called as Eidi’s these are the gifts or the gift money given each other on the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, This day is marked as a holiday to every one. They greet each by saying “Eid Mubarak”, which means to have a blessed Eid.

Steve Jobs resign as CEO of Apple

I guess a lot would really be shocked with one of the most breaking news of Apple - Steve Jobs, one of the biggest drivers of innovation in technology from Apple, is set to resign and will be replaced by Tim Cook, the current COO (Chief Operating Officer) of Apple.

The Wall Street Journal says the timing of the announcement, however, was a surprise and raised questions about the health of Jobs, who was diagnosed with a rare form of pancreatic cancer in 2004 and underwent a liver transplant two years ago.

Still, it seems unlikely the board would have named Jobs chairman if his health had entered a new, more serious phase.

In late trading, Apple's stock recently sold for $355.50, down $21, or 5.5%. It closed in regular trading at $376.18, up 2.6%.

Letter From Steve Jobs:

from Steve Jobs

To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:

I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.

I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.

As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.

I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.

I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.

Steve

When I first heard about Steve Jobs' resignation, I felt sad for Apple. He was truly an inspiring man. He lead Apple into a good fight. I can really say that he was Apple and Apple was him. If you guys are wondering why did he resign, the reason was because of his sickness, although it wasn't really specified what it is. I've researched that Jobs battled from cancer back then and had a liver transplant, but his main reason for resignation remains a mystery.

Through the resignation letter of Jobs, there are 3 things that we can use to prove that Apple can still be successful:
  1. "I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee." Steve Jobs wants to be Chairman and still be part of Apple.
  2. "As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple." - Tim Cook is said to be the most eligible person to be the CEO of Apple. Because he is the COO of the company, he knows the overall flow of the company's worldwide sales and operations.
  3. Jobs may be the face of Apple but Apple's success does not revolve around him. There are people behind Apple's success that is/are not recognized until today, and that includes Mr. Cook.
I just hope that Apple can still keep its momentum even though Jobs is gone. Tim Cook, you're the man now. Prove us wrong. Prove to us that Apple can still survive, with or without Steve Jobs

Things change, People change

I’ve learned that things change, people change, and it doesn’t mean you forget the past or try to cover it up;it simply means that you move on and treasure the memories. Letting go doesn’t mean giving up. it means accepting that somethings weren’t meant to be.

Sometimes, I feel like couldn’t let the hurt go, I will thinking about it over and over, this makes me tired.
Now, I know that The best thing to do is to forgive. By forgive the one who hurt you, you release yourself from being held captive to the pain, anger,  bitterness, and from being a slave to that situation. Forgiving the other person allows you to move on. In no way does forgiving makes what they did right or  diminishes the wrong of the other. It simply releases you from the pain and anguish associated to the situation. forgiveness

I will try to remember the most important part of healing in NOT revenge, NOT seeing the other person hurt, NOT getting an apology, but to get healing for MYSELF so that I can build better relationships and not make the same mistakes again.breaking heart.

The easiest way to maintain the smile on your face

"THE EASIEST WAY TO MAINTAIN THAT SMILE ON YOUR FACE!!!"

Smile is a thing that will for sure be returned to you by the person who receives it.It's the best way to brighten up anyone's day{even the ones who have issues with}.Many times while speaking to people they question me so as to how i keep smiling at people who hate me.lolzzz.

Well, I just smile and ignore the question maybe because i never knew the answer myself but i guess its time i reveal the secret that always lay in my heart. As a really small kid my mother always told me bed time stories and about the fairies who always forgave the "BAD" witches....:P... The fact whether you believe or not is that the more you forgive people the more happy you stay.I know that sounds like totally awkward but its true.

Forgiving isn't easy but when you really learn the art of forgiving you'll realize you are happier than ever. Its a fact that many people realize early in life and some people take forever to realize it but everyone does realize it.

The question now arises is that how do you forgive a person who has cheated on you, ditched you, bitched about you or hurt you in any way or how can you forgive your bf or gf whom you loved wit your whole heart and they turned out to be proper jerks. The answer lies in your own thoughts.Think about a time when you too have been mean to someone and everyone at some point as has been guilty of doing something that may have hurt another person. You may not have hurt that person in the same way but remember this earth is round and nothing can fall off it. And what goes around will surely come back  to  bite you.

Once u realize this you'll realize it's best to forgive  the person who hurt you because the earliest who forgive that person the earlier you will be able to overcome that pain.

My life has also been full of ups and downs but what still keeps me going is that deep in my heart i know that the person who hurt me will realize it sooner or la8r and feel guilty.

And one fact you always need to remember is that no matter what, a person cannot live with guilt and when a person realizes you forgave him or her for what they did they just feel more guilty so u see its a 2 sided win.I  hope you realize the beauty of forgiveness and learn it as soon as you can..

All Things Happy

It doesn’t always have to big things like expensive watches & dresses (I so want one right now) to make us happy. Many times, its small things that put a smile on our faces. And this is my list of those things.

Spending time with people I connect and love… be it family or friends. They sure do put a smile on my face.
Pulling legs of my friends.
That I have changed in past 2 years. Now I m more confident, more out going and can say ‘NO’.
Rain, smelling the awesome smell of mother earth and eating either hot hot  butta (corn) or an ice cream… Heaven :) .

Those mornings and days when I feel lazy and spend them exactly how I feel…lazing around.
Gorging on my favorite food.
A baby or kid smiling at me or holding my finger and knowing that one day in future I will have one of these angels to call my very own :) .

Seeing the way my young niece and nephews react when I go to visit them. Seeing them so happy because of me, makes me happy.
The fact that there are two people in this world who love me unconditionally and for whom I mean the world.
People doing nice and sweet things for one another or for animals.
Reading a good book with my favorite songs playing.
Seeing couples in love.

Love.
Winning.
When someone does something sweet for me.
When I do something that I think is commendable.
Knowing that I have lots of strength inside of me.
Remembering all the good times I spent with my Grand Pa… remembering him makes me nostalgic but also happy.
Watching one of my favorite movies, relaxing on couch with something to munch on.

My perfect weather… cloudy and drizzling lightly.
Finding money which I dint know existed.
Going on long drives.
Music.
Taking pictures.
Vacations.

You guys and my blog. Every time I read your comments it just makes my day. So, What makes you guys happy?

Industrialists of Karachi demand army intervention

KARACHI: The traders and industrialists of Karachi have demanded army intervention to stop bloody violence in city. The demand has been made by Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Korangi Association of Trade & Industry and Traders' action Committee in separate statements on Friday.

"Given the grave circumstances, where civil law enforcement agencies have failed in restoring peace in Karachi, which has now become hub of bloodshed hub, the Army must be called in, being the last resort to enforce peace in the city of 17 million," Khalid Tawab, President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce, suggested.

Similar demand was made by KCCI president Saeed Shafique saying that the police have miserably failed to restore peace in Karachi.

Chairman of Karachi Traders Action Committee (KTAC), Siddiq Memon also demanded of Pakistan Army's chief to take immediate notice of the grave condition of Karachi.

KTAC's chairman demanded that the city should be immediately handed over to the army as all trading activities have ended and the economy has been devastated.

Memon added that the police and rangers both have failed to maintain law and order in the city while the ongoing unrest and violence in the city has caused more than Rs.100 billion worth of losses to the local traders.

"More than 300 Eid bazaars and markets are closed while more than 35,000 workers of those bazaars and markets have lost their jobs," KTAC's chairman added.

Patron-in-Chief Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, S M Muneer, Chairman, Syed Johar Ali Qandhari, former Chairman, Mian Zahid Husain and Vice Chairmen, Saleemuzzaman and Shahid Jawed Qureshi besides members of KATI showing their grave concern on prevailing law and order situation of Karachi said that it seems that law and order is getting out of control of the local administration and the law enforcing agencies and it's now inevitable to call Pak army to control the law and order situation in the city.

"For the greater interest of the country and save precious lives of the citizens, we appeal to the government to ask army to take over law enforcement of the city for the time being and return to the barracks soon after cleansing the city from illegitimate arms and weapons which seems beyond control of the Police and Rangers", Qandhari said.

He said that the ongoing strife between various groups and gang war has destroyed Karachi's peace and traders and industrialists are so frightened to go to their business. The old city area has totally disturbed while industrial production has severely affected. He warned that in such a situation government cannot run the country's affairs as Karachi being the backbone of the economy may not be able to feed the entire country anymore.

"This is worst ever economic situation in the city during last three years and due to, which entire country is suffering. People are feared of their lives and reluctant to come out of their homes. How the country's economy could be run in this extremely fragile situation", Muneer asked the government.

He further asked the apex body of the business community - FPCCI to immediately call an emergent meeting of the stakeholders and decide line of action in order to save the country's economy.

The business leaders were of the view that killing of innocent people in almost every area of Karachi is becoming a routine and it appears law enforcing agencies were not enough capable to control the situation. How can police control the situation when almost 5,000 policemen were deputed to give escort and security to around 100 VIPs in a city of over twenty million people, they questioned.

Chairman, Pakistan Tanners Association (S.Z), PTA, Aziz Ahmed also strongly appealed the government to take stringent measures to restore and maintain law and order of the city to save precious lives of the citizens. He said in a statement that exports shipments are badly affected due to worsening law and order situation due to which industrial activities have crippled severely. He mentioned that labor force is not coming to work due to massive target killing in almost every corner of the city.

He said that all the foreign buyers have also cancelled their visit to Pakistan due to the reason and exporters are extremely worried over cancelling of orders. He asked the government to take every necessary action to restore law and order instead of sitting idle.
