Balmy Day

Today is a bright day. When I woke up, the blazing sun lights nearly blinded my eyes. Out of instinctive reaction to strong rays, I immediately covered the quilt over my face. It took me a long while to adjust my eyes to a new day. Having washed my face and tidied myself up, I went into the kitchen with the purpose of finding something delicious to eat, but in vain. Disappointed, I was about to nag at my poor mother who was still in bed, when an idea struck me. Why don’t I go to People’s Park and breathe the fresh summer air? that is really a good idea foe me..

The morning breeze carried with it the scent of fresh dirt into my nostrils.I felt I were at the top of the cloud, everything in my sight seeming new to me. The leaves of plane trees were glowing in the morning sun, through whose opening the rays penetrated and fell on my shoulders, my head and face, making me narrow my eyes, smiling. Every few hundred meters, there was a cleaner, dressed in bright orange, cleaning the cypress road. A few miles from the park, I noticed a funny scene. An aged male cleaner was riding his open-tricycle, while his lovely dog running after him as fast as it could. I guess he must have finished his work, for he was singing happily as he cycled along. It dawned on me that happiness belongs to everybody, whether he be rich or poor, noble or humble.

The park was already a sea of people before I arrived. Since the park was rebuilt and open to the public, it has served as a morning practice center. The people can be categorized by the clubs they joined in. A group of gray-haired men were playing Taijiquan, many middle-aged women with fans or colorful ribbons in hand were doing yangge, I went though a small grove and crowds of people to the lake side. The water is blue and green with patches of willow catkins floating over. Running water is never stale. How could we expect the water to be clear since it’s a man-made lake? I squatted down and observed the water carefully. There should be tiny tadpoles swimming about! They were just like black commas in my primary textbooks. It’s hard to imagine they are babies of frogs. With a well-preserved childlike innocence, I got down on my knees, pushed up my sleeves, reaching my hand for the tadpoles. However, they were too smart to catch. As soon as I thrust my hand into water, they immediately disappeared into the depth of the lake. Behind came a storm of laughter, A few old men were exchanging of conventional greetings.  I stood up immediately and patted the dirt off my trousers. The sun was already in the half sky. I quickened my steps and headed for home. Wish my life filled with sunshine every day.

Did someone say they'd lost a penguin?

Did someone say they'd lost a penguin? 200,000 young birds search for their hungry chicks

Most parents will know the problem. Your back is turned for two seconds and your little one has disappeared into the crowd.Well just be thankful it’s not a crowd like this. This sea of black, white and brown is created by 200,000 king penguins searching for their hungry chicks on the South Atlantic island of South Georgia.

Each year, the king penguin colony at Salisbury Plains, South Georgia, produces an astonishing 50,000 chicks - a number which is on the rise

And, incredibly given the apparent chaos, the young birds hardly ever get lost – thanks to each having a unique begging call. The scene was captured by German photographer Michael Poliza after the penguins had returned en masse to their home colony for a new breeding season.

King penguins are 3ft tall and weigh up to 33lbs. They lay just one egg each year and the fluffy brown chicks take 11 months to become self-sufficient, so it’s fortunate for them that their parents can p-p-p-pick them out. Each year, the king penguin colony at Salisbury Plains, South Georgia, produces an astonishing 50,000 chicks - a number which is on the rise. And Mr Poliza, from Hamburg, Germany, was left speechless when he was met by the noise, smell and breathtaking sight of the enormous colony.

He said: "Nothing can prepare you for opening your eyes and seeing hundreds of thousands of penguins right in front of you for as far as you can see."It was beautiful looking out across a sea of such vibrant colour - I felt a bit like an opera conductor amidst a one-of-a-kind concert of cries from thousands of hungry chicks."The view was even more stunning as it was framed by a truly breathtaking backdrop of mountains and glaciers."The chick is a true 'homebody' in every sense of the word. They need about eleven months to become self-sufficient so it's a good job they have such a unique cry."King penguins can recognise each other's call and can find their mate and their chick among the 200,000 birds in the colony."Each October king penguins across the sub polar Antarctic regions return to their home colonies to breed and lay just one precious egg.Dedicated Michael, who has a new exhibition opening in Germany at the end of October, had to travel to the Antarctic Peninsula on a cruise ship to capture the striking shots.

It looks like they're playing Wheres Wally: The chaotic scenes make it look impossible for the adult penguins to find their young, but because of their unique begging call amazingly they never get lost

He would wake up at 4am and go straight from his cabin to the upper deck, where a crane lifted him and a rubber dinghy overboard and lowered them into the icy water. He added: "Part of the courtship ritual of king penguins is an erect posture where both sexes make themselves as tall as possible to impress their potential mate.
"During the October courtship period, males parade the females with loud calls, an erect posture and a courtship walk - being the tallest certainly impresses the females."It seems like a chaotic mixture of adults and their chicks, and king penguins look quite comical, but they know exactly what they are doing."On land, penguins are very curious as there have been no land predators in Antarctica so I was able to get up close to them."I would love to go back again as it was a truly fantastic experience."

A Walk to Remember

While I was browsing our DVD collection last night, I found this very lovely movie of all time. I think that this is one of the best movies for me. Watching it for 4 times, it clearly had an impact in my heart.

A Walk To Remember movie is really something to remember. I like how it was made and the scenes deeply touched me. It gave an inspiring and hopeful feelings to its viewers. The perfect direction and production together with the chosen casts to star in this movie is something to recognize. I remember when I first watched this movie, I can't help but reminisce all the scenes in my mind. I was pre-occupied with the scenes that deeply touched me. I thought that I was alone, but my friends were looking so touched as well.

This dramatic love story is excellent, all because of its lessons. I love how the writers and producers thought of integrating Bible lessons in it. Because, I believe, that this served as a reminder for young couples to put Christ in the middle of the relationship and through that, miracles really do happen.

I Love You Mom

Oh I am so thankful to you to grant me with this life. I know i had been disrespectful to you. Often annoying, itchy and a bad son. I am really sorry for that as now when i have realized that each and every drop of blood in me filled of your pampering love, ultimate caring  and reckless days and nights..Thanks to accept me as a part of your own and give me my own existence .. I know am not that thankful to you always .. I know I have been very awfully hurting you with my so-called "Independence key". I know i had been complaining for your anger on my stupid mistakes .. But Mum you are my Gem and Lady Madonna .. I love You .. and will always..

I remember that long soothing massage for healthy and strong bones .. Said truly " A mother is always a Blessing to her child "

I am lucky to have you mom.. As realization comes later your presence was always felt deep in my heart but today when I see people around crying out for cruelty of their owners, weeping off the absence of their blessing Your make me feel special and the luckiest one to be born on this Earth!
